VALDOSTA, Ga. - Camp registration is now open for the annual summer VSU Softball Camp with Head Coach Thomas Macera and the Blazer softball staff.

This year, four different three-day camps for campers ages 12-17 will be held during the month of June, with only 10 spots available each week. Each individual camp will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during each full week of the month of June (see below for dates and times). The three-day camp features quality instruction from Coach Macera, who currently reigns as the winningest active coach at the Division II level in the NCAA. Coach Macera and his staff will teach campers the following:

- Timeless techniques of the modern day hitter, from the correct grip and set-up to the proper bat path and explosive lower half mechanics.
- Proper fundamentals for throwing and taking ground balls and fly balls as well as the proper pitching technique.
- Additional quality instruction from Valdosta State 2012 National Champion Head Coach Thomas Macera, along with players and other members of the Valdosta State softball staff.
