Three Lady Blazers Make All-America
VALDOSTA, Ga. - Three of the most reliable Lady Blazers were named to All-American teams this week. Marti Littlefield made first team Daktronics All-America. She also made the 2009 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Americans third team. Meanwhile, Andi Braswell was named to the NFCA second team. Alyssa Shirey received third team honors with Littlefield and an honorable mention on the Daktronics All-America list. [more...]

Valdosta State Falls to Alabama-Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Alabama-Huntsville shut out Valdosta State for the second consecutive game Saturday to win, 3-0. The only shutouts of VSU's season came this weekend in Huntsville as the Chargers proved to be too much for an outstanding Lady Blazer squad. [more...]

More Regional Honors for VSU
VALDOSTA, Ga. - Five Lady Blazers were named to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II All-Region Team. Holly Satterfield, Becca Aszman, Marti Littlefield, Andi Braswell and Alyssa Shirey were all named to the South Region second team. Valdosta State had the second most players named to the team. Braswell Gets Region Player of the Year
VALDOSTA, Ga. - Valdosta State is one of just two teams from the South Region that are still alive in the NCAA Softball Tournament, so it's no surprise that four players from the squad were named All-South Region headlined by Andi Braswell.
