VSU Blocks Out Golden Suns
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Valdosta State started the Gulf South Conference tournament with a hard fought 56-47 win over the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns. Michelle Thompson led the way with 16 points while Tamika Booker and Erin Keller scored 11 and 10 points respectively. Booker led the Lady Blazers on the glass with seven rebounds and Leschelle Matthews passed out five assists. But it was Valdosta State's strong defense that kept VSU in control. [more...]
