The Valdosta State Lady Blazers closed out the 2007-08 season with a bang, making it to the 2008 NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen. VSU ended the season with a 26-6 record, the most wins under head coach Kiley Hill and the most wins since 1983.
Valdosta State finished 2nd in the Gulf South Conference East Division and made it to the semifinals of the GSC Tournament. Two Lady Blazers were named to the All-GSC Team.
Advancing to the South Region Tournament ranked sixth, VSU went on to defeat the third and second ranked teams in the tournament. One Lady Blazer was named to the All-Region team.
