Meet the staff!
Host Information
The VSU Athletic Training Staff has a mission to administer quality athletic health care. In order to do this, we will provide the following when you travel to our campus and facilities.
A certified athletic trainer will be on site for all games or matches.
Prior to practice or competition a member of the VSU Athletic Training staff will greet either a member of the visiting team's athletic training staff or head coach to explain our emergency procedures, location of equipment, location of telephones and emergency numbers, and any other pertinent information.
Visiting teams are welcome to utilize our athletic training rooms for taping and/or treatment. Following GSC policies, if the team is not accompanied by a Certified Athletic Trainer, treatments will be limited to non-electrical modalities.
In the event the visiting team does not travel with a member of their athletic training staff, we will provide athletic training services provided we receive prior notification (preferably 2 days in advance) and the visiting team has appropriate supplies.
We will provide access to emergency equipment including: AED, oxygen, splints, crutches, and biohazard receptacles.
We will provide ice water, cups (when appropriate), treatment ice and ice bags to the visiting teams both on the sidelines/dugout and in the locker room.
