Athletics Hall of Fame Weekend ApproachingFive Blazer Greats to be inducted January 26Valdosta, Ga. - Five Valdosta State Athletic greats will join the VSU Athletic Hall of Fame during induction ceremonies January 26.
The Hall of Fame festivities will began with the official induction luncheon and ceremony at Noon on Saturday, January 26. Tickets to the luncheon are $15 and can be purchased by contacting the Valdosta State Athletic Office at 229-333-5890. Following the Luncheon, the Hall of Fame Inductees will take part in the parade honoring the 2007 Valdosta State national championship football team and the 2007 Lowndes High School state championship squad. Likewise, the group will be honored during halftime of that evening's men's basketball game against West Alabama. Current News >> |
The 2008 Hall of Fame class includes former football All-Americas C.J. Lofton and Reggie Mosley, women's tennis great Aparna Sreenivasan, women's basketball star Kathy Kennedy and long-tmie Valdosta State team physician Dr. Kurt Jacobson.
