Freed-Hardeman Defeats Women's Tennis

Both men's and women's teams fall 6-3

VALDOSTA, Ga.-Both the men's and women's Valdosta State tennis teams fell to NAIA opponent Freed-Hardeman on Tuesday night outside the P.E. Complex, 6-3.

The afternoon started off on a sour note when all three men's doubles teams fell to the Lions. On the women's side, Karine Redon and Clair McKinnon were the only doubles teams to be victories over Freed-Hardeman, defeating Kristina Vucenov and Bello. In singles, Natali Gumbrecht defeated Jelena Jovic at the number three spot, 6-3, 6-2 while Redon added another victory on the afternoon, defeating Mary Jo Cano 7-5, 7-5.

Both Blazers teams fall to a 1-1 record and look to take on Armstrong Atlantic on February 17, in Savannah, Ga. for a 1:00 match.
