VSU Closing in on Ticket Sales Record
VALDOSTA, Ga. - With just four days to go before the start of the Valdosta State basketball season, the VSU Ticket Office announced Wednesday that it is closing in on a new season ticket sales record.
To date, Valdosta State has sold 234 season tickets, just 19 away from the record of 253 set during the 2003-04 season. The 234 season tickets currently ranks as the sixth-most in the 56 year history of the program.
"We are very excited to be closing in this sales record," said Lindsey Lloyd, Director of Ticketing and Game Operations at Valdosta State. "Coupled with setting the new sales record for football this season, we are seeing a lot of excitement among our fans in regards to our athletic teams."
The Lady Blazers open the season this Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 p.m. against Lander in the P.E. Complex. The women's team returns to action Monday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m. against Edward Waters while the men's squad opens its season against Carver at 8:00 p.m.
