DESTIN, Fla. - Valdosta State shot a final round 292 to finish second at the Indian Bayou Classic held at the par-72 Indian Bayou Golf Club Tuesday. The Blazers tallied a two-round total of 582 (six-over) to finish 10 shots behind tournament host North Alabama, which finished the tournament with a four-under 572. Shorter and Columbus State tied for third at 595 while Northeastern State and Clayton State tied for fifth at 600. Will Repko shot a two-round total of 143 (one-under) to finish fourth in the tournament while Chesley Gunn was fifth at an even-par 144. Chad Smith shot a 147 on the tournament while Fredrick Hildebrand finished with a 148 and Wade Holland a 159. The Blazers return to action next Monday when they travel to Ocoee, Fla. to take part in the Rollins Invitational.
